Policies & Parent Expectations

Clear structure, kind boundaries, and shared responsibility help every child thrive at Fifth Avenue Music Studio.

1

Our Philosophy

At Fifth Avenue Music Studio, we believe children learn best in environments where they feel safe, respected, and supported. Our policies exist to protect the learning experience of every child, support families with clarity, and ensure a sustainable, high-quality teaching environment.

2

Structure Creates Safety

Our programs are intentionally structured. Clear schedules, consistent routines, and defined boundaries help children feel secure and focused — and allow learning to unfold naturally over time.

This structure is not restrictive; it is supportive.

3

Attendance & Make-Up Policy

Regular attendance is essential for meaningful progress.

  • Missed lessons are not automatically made up.
  • Make-up lessons may be offered only when availability allows and are not guaranteed.
  • We design our programs for consistency, not drop-in flexibility.
4

Communication Boundaries

  • Communication is handled during designated business hours.
  • We do not offer 24/7 messaging or on-demand access to teachers.

Clear communication boundaries allow teachers to show up fully present for each child during lessons. Respecting these boundaries supports everyone involved.

5

Progress, Expectations & Outcomes

We do not promise instant or guaranteed results. Children develop at different paces, and learning is not linear.

What we do promise:

  • Thoughtful planning
  • Age-appropriate goals
  • Ongoing observation and documentation
  • Honest, respectful communication about progress
6

Media, Privacy & Consent

We respect each family’s privacy preferences. Media use (photos/videos) is always optional and based on written consent, with clear choices such as:

  • No media use
  • Family-only sharing
  • Marketing use (when applicable)

Children’s dignity and privacy are always prioritized.

7

Enrollment & Payment

  • Enrollment is based on availability and program fit.
  • Monthly auto-pay is the standard enrollment method.
  • Tuition reflects preparation time, materials, planning, and professional expertise — not just lesson minutes.
8

A Shared Responsibility

A successful learning experience is a partnership.

We ask families to trust the process, respect the structure, and communicate openly.

This program is best suited for families who value:

  • Consistency over quick fixes
  • Structure over flexibility
  • Depth over speed
By enrolling at Fifth Avenue Music Studio, families agree to uphold these expectations in support of their child’s learning journey and the wider studio community.
